Full job description

About Crystal Pathways:

Are you passionate about empowering people to build better futures? At Crystal Pathways, we believe employment isn't just an outcome of good health; it's part of it. We see meaningful, sustainable work as a health intervention in its own right, something that builds identity, structure, connection and hope, alongside income.

About The Role:

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and dedicated Wellbeing Advisor to join our team in Cheshire, supporting the delivery of our employability and wellbeing contracts.

This is a full-time, face-to-face, permanent role offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing physical health, mental health and wellbeing challenges that impact their ability to find, return to or remain in employment.

As a Wellbeing & Employability Coach, you will provide person-centred, trauma informed and holistic support, empowering individuals to overcome health related barriers to employment, build confidence, improve their wellbeing and develop the skills needed to achieve their personal and employment goals.

You will work collaboratively with individuals, healthcare professionals, employers and local support services to develop tailored action plans, facilitate access to appropriate interventions and support sustainable employment outcomes.

Through a compassionate, strengths-based approach, you will help individuals take positive steps towards improved health, greater independence and long term employment stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide holistic wellbeing support to clients, focusing on their mental health and employment goals.
  • Assess individuals' health, wellbeing and employment needs and create personalised support plans that address their unique challenges.
  • Deliver employability support, including job coaching, CV writing, interview preparation, job search techniques, and building resilience.
  • Offer ongoing wellbeing support through targeted interventions i.e. one-to-one or group sessions, focusing on building emotional resilience, self-esteem, and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with employers and other external organisations to create opportunities for clients and facilitate access to employment.
  • Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring their health, wellbeing and employment needs are understood and met in a supportive and respectful manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, encouraging empowerment and helping them take positive steps towards employment success.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in employment services, and wellbeing practices to inform service delivery.
  • Commit to your own professional development, expanding your expertise in mental health, wellbeing and employability.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previous experience providing health, wellbeing or employability support, particularly for individuals facing barriers.
  • Experience in conducting and creating tailored support plans.
  • Knowledge of employability support strategies, including CV writing, interview preparation, and job search techniques.
  • Ability to work directly with individuals to support their mental health, wellbeing, and personal development.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients, build trust, and advocate on their behalf.
  • A commitment to supporting individuals with empathy and respect, ensuring their journey towards wellbeing is as smooth and empowering as possible.

Desired:

  • Experience in occupational, clinical, or counselling psychology.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields (e.g., mental health, social work, psychology).
  • Previous experience working with external agencies such local authorities, or employment services.
  • Knowledge of wellbeing practices, resilience-building techniques, and mental health first aid.

Why Join Us?
We offer a supportive and dynamic working environment where your expertise will be valued, and you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the community. Join a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their employment and wellbeing goals.
