Teamtheme Kent is an experienced and long standing sports and education provider with a keen understanding of the needs and demands of primary schools in Kent. Making a Difference to the physical and emotional wellbeing of children is our mission.

Our company is growing, and our recent structure has created roles for an experienced Head Sports Coach.

We are seeking an experienced & passionate Head Coach to oversee provision for the Medway district. We are looking for a specific candidate to take responsibility for leading and overseeing outstanding sports and PE provision across all aspects of our school, holiday and club programmes.

Job Specification

Due to recent growth, we are looking to recruit an inspiring, enthusiastic, dedicated and creative individual on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be committed to our mission – Make a Difference – and will be responsible for delivering and overseeing high quality PE and Sports lessons in line with the National Curriculum. We are seeking a Head Coach who understands how to develop coaches and to support our partnerships to flourish.

Your role will include:

  • Delivering high quality PE lessons and after – school clubs.
  • Quality Assurance visits
  • Up-skilling and developing educators
  • Delivering high quality sports provision at our Holiday Camps during the school holidays.
  • Lead on our holiday camp programmes.
  • Attending meetings, and training sessions.
  • Completing administrative tasks.
  • Driving community engagement

To be considered for the role you will need to have the following:

  • Able to plan, organise and facilitate high quality PE and sports lessons.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the PE National Curriculum.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering curriculum based Primary School PE.
  • Experience of delivering in a classroom environment.
  • Experience of developing or mentoring others in physical education.
  • Experience of planning & running school sporting events.
  • Proficiency across social media platforms
  • Excellent customer service & customer experience
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the primary school sports sector
  • Experience of using IT software excel etc.

Qualifications:

  • NGB Level 2, x 2 qualifications
  • Driving licence and access to own form of transport.
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Safeguarding Qualification

Desirable:

Gymnastics experience / qualification

  • This job is subject to receipt of DBS and relevant references.
