We look after the most complex children with pride and confidence. We strive to provide them a better way of life whereby they have a family environment around them to feel safe.
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced registered manager to join our team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will have a background working with children in residential children homes settings. You will play a key role in providing specialized care and support to our precious children.
Salary & Benefits:
£50,000 - £60,000 + £5000 Bonus scheme in line with outcomes met with Ofsted inspections
Paid DBS Certificate checks.

Standard annual Leave entitlement + Bank holidays
Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
QCF LEVEL 5/7 leadership and management (after successfully passing the probationary period)

Qualifications:
NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management
Willing to register as a manager with Ofsted.
Proficient numeracy/literary skills equivalent to GCSE or above in English
and Math.
Full Driving License UK required
Knowledge and Experience:
- Regulatory requirement: “within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children”
- Can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of operational management within service provision.
- A working understanding of relevant legislation such as children’s home regulations, quality standards, care standing act, working to safeguard children act and company policies
- To be the safeguarding lead of your home to ensure children are free from harm and are safe at all times.
Skills and abilities:
- Able to communicate to a high standard with a range of people using a variety of communication.
- Able to work as part of a team, and to work independently, using own
- Initiative.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Able to prioritise, manage workload and delegate appropriately.
- Can demonstrate good leadership and decision-making skills.
- Able to mentor, coach and nurture staff team.
- Able to effectively performance manage staff using formal procedures were necessary.
- Able to deal effectively with emergency situations.
- Able to make effective use of ICT.
Qualities:
- Positive attitude towards diversity in general and specifically towards the rights, independence, inclusion and choice for children with complex needs needs.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude and approach.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Can demonstrate commitment to promoting the welfare of children with complex needs.
Job Purpose:
- To be responsible for the management and operational delivery in representation of Helping Care LTD
- To lead and inspire the team around the child to achieve outstanding outcomes for children
- This will include line management of the others such as deputy Manager, senior support workers and support workers within your home
- To lead and direct others to provide person centred support to children with complex needs.
- To promote independence and personal fulfilment
- To be part of the first level 24hr on-call Rota for residential.
Role Summary & Responsibilities:
- By managing on a day-to-day basis, a service that meets all the requirements of
- Helping Care LTD and the regulating body’s expectations of a good, outstanding or equivalent service through robust planning, review and monitoring of the policy practice and procedure throughout the service.
- Leading and being accountable for the achievement of positive outcomes for children and to drive continuous improvement by using performance data and evidence-based outcome measures.
- Managing and being responsible for all aspects of the home, ensuring the team provides innovative, responsive, high quality and child focused services to children, based on an assessment of need that is regularly and professionally reviewed and is outcomes driven.
- Leading, inspiring, motivating and managing a team of a deputy manager and senior support workers and support workers, ensuring the home is appropriately staffed and covered at all times in line with regulatory requirements.
- providing regular supervision and performance reviews to create a workforce that is motivated, skilled and qualified
- Ensuring a safe and positive work and service environment, including the management of the physical environment/building is achieved through compliance with all safeguarding, safer recruitment, health and safety policy and procedure.
- Ensuring systems and processes are in place and applied to enable all legal and statutory records Managing a delegated budget, ensuring effective and efficient management of expenditure in the home/service in line with the regulatory requirements and financial requirements.
- Establishing and developing effective relationships and channels of communication with colleagues, local authorities, partner agencies and other external agencies, including participating in multiagency meetings as appropriate.
- Reviewing service provision with the Responsible Individual, ensuring continued improvements are made, driving innovation and business development.
- Demonstrating a willingness and ability to operate within a constantly changing environment and as such work priorities and targets may change.
- Undertaking such other duties that occasionally arise, which enables the postholder to always do what’s right, what’s needed, and do what works for children.
- Promoting Helping Care LTD equality and diversity strategy to ensure the promotion of best practice and to inform and develop appropriate action plans.
- Operational compliance and promotion of all Helping care LTD policies and procedures including achieving the highest standards of safeguarding by always adopting a child centred approach.
