At Turning Point, we support people with Physical and Learning Disabilities across England.
Where will I be working?
We are recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to join our brand new supported living service based in Sandwich. You will be supporting a number of adults who have a diagnosis in Autism, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities to live in the community You will receive all the necessary training prior to supporting the people and this will take place locally.
As a Senior Support Worker you will make a real difference to people’s lives. Passionate about people? You will enjoy the scope of this role in line management duties alongside supporting people whilst enhancing your own life and career too, as you gain the experience and training you need to progress with us.
Role Responsibility
Our service St Barts needs people who are team players and can inspire others. The role of the Senior Support Worker is to work with the management team in providing first line support for the Support Workers in their day to day activities, ensuring we are working in compliance with policies and procedures and that new staff are inducted to their roles. You will be responsible for rota management, staff supervision, the coaching of staff members and embedding quality support for the people we support.
The Ideal Candidate
You will need to have previous Support Work/Health Care experience and be able to drive to be considered for this role.
You will also be:
- Passionate, caring and enthusiastic
- Flexible, patient and non-judgemental
- A great team player with lots of energy
- Able to demonstrate good communication skills
- Able to complete the physical aspects of the role such as manual handling

Please note training will be offered after your probation period ends which is 6 months. Once you begin your training with us you will have your own coach who will support you through your programme.
