Overview
FABRIC FAMILY are looking for the perfect candidate to be our Home Leader in our Swansea Home, located in Mount Pleasant. As we are not a registered care home, there are no expectations of hands on care work. We support and mentor our teenagers into independence. Our Home lead ensures the smooth running of the home and ensuring that the home operates to gold standards as this is what our teenagers deserve. We would love someone to be as passionate as us in providing a safe, secure, loving home with impactful support. As a company, we are committed throughout all roles to Conscious Leadership which is embodied into our company values. It is important to us that the Home Manager has the ability and confidence to run the home according to company procedures.

FYI, Pay review is April 1st 2025 so the salary will increase according to Real Living Wage % increase.

Duties

  • Supervising our team members every 6-8 weeks
  • Overseeing all of the Senior Life coaches job duties e.g. room checks, life coaching sessions and fire checks.
  • Corresponding and meeting with professionals such as Social Workers. This may include preparing for meetings.
  • Attending assessments for potential new young people to more in, assessing needs and compatibility. Leading on placement decisions for move in's and move on's.
  • Regular team communication and team meetings.
  • Providing information for invoicing.
  • Uploading the rota
  • Managing the homes on-call rota. The Home Lead needs to be available for 2 weeks on-call for the home per month. This involves providing over the phone support to team members in the building in the event that support or guidance is needed.
  • Ensuring all legal compliances are up to date e.g. boiler checks and PAT testing
  • Oversee home cleanliness and maintenance needs. This will involve communicating to professionals and booking in any required work.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the care or support sector is essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 preferred however we can support with enrolment for this qualification working your way to level 5.
