The Role

The role will involve you providing Tour Management on a freelance basis to adults around the world. You will travel with the guests from the UK on their holidays in a team with Limitless carers providing support. Your main responsibilities will be managing the logistics of the holiday for the guests. This will include getting guests to pre booked excursions, assistance with holiday check in, running entertainment in the evenings, and completing coach commentary.

Limitless Travel takes guests around the UK on coach tours, overseas & onto cruises. Tour Managers support on all types of holiday to ensure guest satisfaction. Itinerary is pre booked, as Tour Managers it is your responsibility to ensure arrival times, and overall guest enjoyment.

It is expected that Tour Managers will prepare commentary ahead of each tour, and also organize quizzes and bingo to entertain the guests, which are typically a group of 20 people.

To qualify for trips outside the UK you must have a valid passport with as least 18 months before expiry, and VISA to travel. You can also choose to travel only within the UK.

You can freely choose the weeks you wish to work and travel - and supplement your typical work with 1 or 2 Limitless trips a year, or work back to back trips through the whole travel season, if you prefer. You will be provided with a uniform, accommodation while away, food and refreshments when travelling, ongoing training and the opportunity to to see the world. It is a challenging role but one where you will be rewarded with the experience of a lifetime. !

Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience as a Tour Manager
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional, ambitious, and passionate approach to making a meaningful impact on the lives of disabled individuals through travel.
  • Experience of using a variety of computer systems.

As such you are expected as part of your role to turn up on time and ensure that sickness is reported correctly; be aware of your attitude towards others both internal & external to the business and ensure it’s inline with the Limitless tone. You are also responsible for looking after all equipment and reporting any issues, as well as the environment surrounding you. We can only have a nice place to work if everyone contributes to looking after it!

What You’ll Do as a Tour Manager

  • Managing the check in process once the group arrives at the hotel or port
  • To ensure that the room the guest is staying in is fit for purpose, and meets guest expectations. To manage any room changes required liaising with the guest and head office where necessary
  • To provide “Group Support” to all guests. This includes assistance with suitcases, assistance at the buffet.
  • Engaging and chatting with guests ensuring they are never on their own.
  • To research the itinerary for the tour, ensure that you have a good understanding of the logistics for each day.
  • To provide a varied, fun entertainment schedule for all tours that do not include hotel entertainment. This should involve running bingo sessions & quizzes
  • To work with the Senior Carer to manage any care related incidents. This may involve contacting emergency contacts.
  • To manage any emergency situations that arise on tour, and work with the Senior Carer, and head office.

Role Type: Self Employed

Pay Rate: £154 per day

Trip length: Our holidays are typically 5, 7, 10 or 14 days.

Shift Times: between 7am - 11pm

Perks: All food and accommodation is paid for during the holidays.
