Being a Code Coach isn’t just a job; it’s a rewarding opportunity to inspire young people, teaching them essential life skills and boosting their digital confidence. You’ll play a vital role in equipping children with problem-solving abilities and helping them become digitally savvy for the future.
Why Join Jam Coding?
- Flexible hours that can fit around your commitments – perfect for teachers, HLTA professionals, or those looking for experience before teacher training.
- The chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of young learners.
- Work with a supportive team, providing workshops across a growing portfolio of over 200 primary schools in the Stockport region.
- Competitive hourly rate of £13-£20/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Full training provided to ensure you feel confident and prepared for every workshop.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A Positive Mentor: You’re passionate about helping young people succeed through teamwork, confidence-building, and exploration.
- Tech Enthusiast: A solid general understanding of IT is helpful (but don’t worry – we’ll train you on the specifics of our workshops).
- Education Focused: A teaching, childcare, or teaching assistant qualification (or working toward one) is highly desirable.
- Excellent Communicator: You’re well-organized, punctual, and comfortable leading a group.
- Driver's License: Access to a car is essential for travel between schools.
- DBS Certification: A DBS check is required, but we can help you obtain this if needed.
This role is perfect for someone looking for meaningful part-time work or an educator who wants to make a difference outside of the traditional classroom setting.
