Full job description

The St Giles Wise Partnership is seeking a passionate and motivated Women's Wellbeing Coach to support women involved in the criminal justice system to overcome barriers, build resilience, and create positive futures.

Working as part of a multi-agency team, you will provide holistic, trauma-informed support to female adults aged 18+ who are serving community sentences or transitioning from prison back into their communities. This is a rewarding opportunity to help women address complex challenges and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

About Us

The St Giles Wise Partnership combines the expertise of St Giles, an award-winning social justice charity, and The Wise Group, a leading social enterprise dedicated to tackling poverty and creating opportunities for vulnerable people. Together, we deliver specialist women's services across several regions, supporting rehabilitation, resettlement, and social inclusion.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing a caseload of women referred through the National Probation Service.

  • Conducting trauma-informed assessments and developing personalised action plans.

  • Delivering one-to-one and group-based interventions.

  • Supporting women with accommodation, finance, employment, wellbeing, recovery, family relationships, social inclusion, and other resettlement needs.

  • Building trusted relationships that empower individuals to make positive changes.

  • Working collaboratively with probation, prisons, community organisations, and partner agencies.

  • Maintaining accurate records and reports using case management systems.

  • Supporting and supervising volunteer Peer Advisors.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience providing trauma-informed and gender-responsive support.

  • Experience supporting people with complex or multiple needs.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and person-centred approaches.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and coaching skills.

  • Experience working collaboratively with partner organisations.

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and online communication platforms.

  • The resilience and adaptability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A relevant qualification (or working towards one) in social care, youth work, advice work, or a related field.

Lived Experience Welcome

We particularly encourage applications from individuals with relevant lived experience, including experiences such as homelessness, substance misuse, debt, involvement in the criminal justice system, or other significant life challenges. We recognise the value that lived experience can bring in supporting those facing similar barriers.

What We Offer

  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

  • Comprehensive induction programme.

  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities.

  • Regular supervision and reflective practice support.

  • Support towards recognised qualifications and professional development.

  • A supportive, inclusive, and values-driven working environment.

This role is subject to HMPPS Enhanced Level 1 Security Vetting and an Enhanced DBS Check. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability and willingness to travel across the area, is required.

Join us and help women overcome barriers, realise their potential, and build brighter futures.

This is a fixed-term contract ending on 28/09/2028.

Due to the nature of the service, the role is only open to female applicants and the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, Paragraph 1 applies to this post.
