About the Role:
As a Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in fostering a love for physical activity while working closely with teachers and support staff to deliver a tailored PE curriculum. You will support the delivery of sport and PE, using sport to encourage confidence, enjoyment, and social skills as part of the students' development.
Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning and delivering engaging, adapted sports sessions that cater to the diverse abilities of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel motivated, supported, and valued.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to help develop students' physical, social, and emotional skills through sports activities.
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, and perseverance among students during structured physical activities.
- Support the monitoring of students' progress and assist in adapting activities to ensure each student is included and appropriately challenged.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment during all sports sessions.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to support the overall development of students.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a physical education or sports coaching role, particularly in an educational setting, is preferred.
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the ability to adapt activities for a wide range of abilities.
- Passion for working with children and promoting physical activity and health.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage students.
- Ability to inspire students, build self-confidence, and promote teamwork through sport.
- Relevant qualifications in PE and sports, such as a Level 2 or 3 Coaching Certification, are desirable.
- First aid certification is desirable.
Benefits:
- Be part of a supportive, inclusive, and dedicated team.
- Opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
- Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- A warm, friendly, and dynamic school environment.
- Competitive salary and benefits.
