Full job description

Registered Manager, Children’s Residential Home
Location: Kettering, East Midlands
Salary: Up to £60,000 + £10K annual bonuses
Home: 4-bed EBD (3 young people in placement)

We’re working with a family-run provider with a strong values base and a reputation for doing things properly. They’re looking for a Registered Manager to take the lead in a settled, Good-rated 4-bed EBD home in Kettering.

This is a home with consistency: stable placements, a long-standing Deputy, and a wider team that knows the value of clear boundaries and nurturing relationships. The provider backs their managers with high staffing levels, regular input from compliance leads, and a leadership team that stays hands-on without micromanaging.

You’ll be leading a home that’s already on solid ground, the task now is building on that foundation and continuing to grow a culture rooted in empathy, structure and therapeutic care.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards across care, safeguarding and compliance
  • Lead, coach and support your staff team, including a highly experienced Deputy
  • Maintain strong relationships with Ofsted, the placing authorities and wider professionals
  • Champion a therapeutic, child-centred approach to care and behaviour support
  • Take ownership of audits, care planning, team development and rota management

What we’re looking for

  • You’re already Registered, or you’re a strong Deputy ready to take that step
  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or close to finishing it)
  • Solid understanding of EBD practice, behaviour support and trauma-informed care
  • You lead by example, calm under pressure, consistent in your expectations
  • You’re confident with regulation but driven by what’s right for the young people
  • Full UK driving licence

What’s on offer

  • Up to £60,000 salary + £10K bonus potential
  • High pay rates across the team because culture starts with how people are treated
  • Support from a genuinely involved senior team
  • Ongoing training and space to grow with the organisation
  • A proper work-life balance, with trust and autonomy

If you’re looking for a role where your experience is respected and your impact is felt, this could be the right move.
