About us: Glebe House (Charnwood) LTD has been around for over 40 years. We currently support over 100 clients and have around 70 staff members, 30 of those who have been with us for 10+ years.

Glebe House offers a wide range of services for people of all ages in Leicestershire, which are all aimed at improving the lives of the people we support and the lives of those who support them. Our flexible provision includes community life choices, a specialist autism team, overnight short breaks and social clubs for adults, whilst offering Saturday and play schemes for children.

We are looking for well organised, enthusiastic individuals to provide day care support to adults with learning disabilities with the aim of promoting independence and inclusion with opportunities at Glebe House and within the local community. You will:

  • Ensure that risk assessments and health & safety checks are complied with to create a safe working environment.

The person we need must have previous experience of providing care, preferably to somebody with a learning disability. An NVQ level 2 or 3 in a related subject or relevant experience is essential. You should be able to work within a team or alone and be able to use your initiative and understand the needs and rights of those with disabilities. Confidentiality, flexibility and reliability are crucial as well as good communication skills.

We are a friendly, well established team and the successful individual will be provided with an environment that encourages personal and professional development. You will receive a full induction including shadowing, ongoing support and training.
