Full job description

Here for people. Here for communities. Here for you.

What is the role?

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hafod's Homes & Communities team as a Sustainability Coach (ASB), helping to create safer, stronger and more sustainable communities across South Wales.

As a Sustainability Coach, you will work closely with Neighbourhood Coaches, colleagues and partner agencies to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB), support vulnerable residents and help people sustain their tenancies. You'll take a proactive, person-centred approach, identifying the root causes of issues and working with tenants to achieve positive, long-term outcomes.

You'll manage serious ASB cases, including those involving domestic abuse, hate incidents and community safety concerns, while building strong relationships with residents, local authorities, the police and other partner organisations.

Make a difference every day as a Sustainability Coach (ASB) at Hafod.

This role is about much more than managing cases. It's about supporting people through challenging circumstances, protecting communities, reducing risks and helping individuals build safer, more stable futures.

We put people first, offering excellent training, supportive teams and opportunities to grow your career while making a meaningful impact every day.

This is a permanent full-time 36 hrs per week job opportunity.

This role involves travelling independently across our sites and services as part of day-to-day duties. You will need to hold a full, valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle. If you use your own vehicle for work, you'll also need appropriate insurance (for example business use)

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing and resolving anti-social behaviour, nuisance and tenancy breach cases using a range of intervention and enforcement tools.
  • Supporting tenants to understand their rights and responsibilities as contract holders.
  • Developing positive relationships with tenants, particularly those who may be vulnerable or harder to engage.
  • Working collaboratively with Neighbourhood Coaches and external partners to deliver coordinated support.
  • Leading on serious ASB cases, including domestic abuse, hate incidents and safeguarding concerns.
  • Gathering evidence, taking witness statements and preparing legal documentation.
  • Representing Hafod in legal proceedings and court hearings where required.
  • Attending multi-agency meetings and working in partnership to improve community safety.
  • Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and tenancy sustainability across our communities.
  • Sharing success stories and contributing to continuous service improvement

You can find the full job description attached for a more detailed overview of the role.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience managing and resolving anti-social behaviour cases within a housing, support or community setting.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation, ASB legislation and relevant legal processes.
  • Experience working with customers who have diverse needs and circumstances.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to have challenging conversations when required.
  • Experience working collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders.
  • A customer-focused, solution-oriented approach with the ability to identify practical and sustainable outcomes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and person-centred services.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
