We need full-time Foreman/ Lead Rigger to join our team operating out of our premises in Hanbury, Worcestershire.

Fews is a family-run business and one of the UK’s leading Marquee, Temporary Building and Christmas Lighting suppliers with a reputation for quality and professionalism.

We work on major events, festivals and film sets throughout the year and consider our business to be the best in the industry. In addition to this we also work October through to January installing Christmas Lights into some of London’s most well known streets.

Competitive rates of pay, dependent on experience. This role would be paid hourly, so that there is an opportunity for an excellent level of take-home pay.

Purpose of the Role

To work as part of a designated team to deliver the construction and dismantle of marquee structures on designated jobs, on time, to specification and to budget, as directed by the Designated Lead Foreman. To safeguard health and safety on site and while loading and unloading at all times, both personally and in relation to clients and the team.

Key Responsibilities of the Marquee / Temporary Buildings Role – 12 months of the year

· To work as part of an experienced team of Foremen and Seasonal Riggers

· To build and deconstruct structures at designated site locations and ensure that all:

o Tasks allocated are accurately carried out in accordance with instruction and timeframes set by the Lead Foreman

o Procedures are followed (company and legislative)

o Health and safety rules are observed

o Safety equipment is worn and used at all times, in accordance with company and legislative policies and procedures

o Operate plant and vehicles

· To take part in the cleaning of all equipment when required, as instructed by the Lead Foreman or Warehouse Manager

Key Responsibilities of the Christmas Lighting Rigger – October to November and January

· To work as part of an experienced team of riggers installing Christmas lighting within some of London’s most well know streets.

· Working either as a ground crew or ipaf operator you will be responsible for ensuring that all:

o Installing/Dismantling of scheme is done in accordance with the schedule provided

o Fews nightly reporting procedures are followed

o Safety equipment is worn and used at all times, in accordance with company and legislative policies and procedures

o Method statement and risk assessment are meticulously followed

· Take part in the annual refurbishment maintenance of the lighting schemes (February à September)

General Responsibilities

· To attend team briefings prior to any jobs commencing and debriefing meetings following every dismantle

· To attend mandatory training and health and safety briefings when required

· To ensure all vehicles are loaded at the yard, in accordance with the Warehouse Manager’s instructions (when required to do so)

· To ensure all vehicles are reloaded on site, at the end of every job in accordance with the Lead Foreman’s instructions

· To park vehicles properly and speed restrictions observed, when driving a company vehicle or private vehicle on company property

· To treat all company equipment and vehicles with care and respect

· To assist other team members when appropriate for the benefit of the company

· Perform additional duties as delegated by the Designated Lead Foreman or Head of Operations (both in peak and off peak seasons)

· Adherence to the financial authority matrix at all times, in addition to company and legislative policy and procedures
