Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Cook (Bank Staff). This role involves supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring the smooth preparation and serving of food in a professional environment. The position offers flexible hours, suitable for those seeking temporary or supplementary work, and provides valuable experience in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for food preparation and excellent attention to hygiene standards.

Duties

  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
  • Support cooking activities under supervision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations
  • Help with meal preparation for various service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
  • Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety within the kitchen environment
  • Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Familiarity with kitchen safety procedures and food hygiene standards is advantageous
  • Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment will be considered a plus
