Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Starter/Sweet Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves creating exquisite starters and desserts that delight our guests, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in food production within a hospitality or restaurant environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents while managing a team in a fast-paced kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of starters and sweet dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Supervise and oversee the food production process, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served
  • Manage kitchen operations during service periods, including coordinating with other chefs and kitchen staff
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Monitor stock levels, organise ingredients, and ensure timely replenishment of supplies
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently to meet service deadlines without compromising quality
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
