Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our team at our welcoming 10-bedroom hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality buffet breakfasts for our guests, ensuring excellent food quality, hygiene, and service standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in food preparation, and is passionate about creating a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present a daily buffet breakfast for hotel guests.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Plan and prepare a varied breakfast offering, including both hot and cold items.
  • Monitor buffet presentation and replenish food items as required during service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, food preparation areas, and breakfast service area.
  • Manage stock levels, place orders as required, and minimise food waste.
  • Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order.
  • Work closely with hotel management to deliver a high standard of guest service.
  • Support occasional catering requirements or special breakfast requests when needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Cook, or similar role within a hotel, guest house, café, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices.
  • Experience preparing buffet-style breakfasts is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently during early morning shifts.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Friendly, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent guest experiences.
  • Relevant food hygiene certification is preferred.
  • A culinary qualification or equivalent practical kitchen experience would be advantageous
