Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Live-in Housekeeper/Cook to provide comprehensive support to a single mature gentleman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organised environment while preparing healthy, nutritional meals that meet the Principals' preferences. This role offers the opportunity to work in a welcoming setting, offering stability and the chance to become an integral part of the household team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping duties, supporting a team of two other full-time housekeepers
  • Prepare breakfast and support the full-time Chef in the kitchen, catering to the dietary requirements and preferences of the Principal
  • Manage grocery shopping and stock supplies for the kitchen and household needs
  • Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen appliances, utensils, and dining areas
  • Assist with light errands
  • Support with occasional event preparation or hosting duties
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks adhere to high standards of hygiene and safety protocols

Skills

  • Proven experience in cooking, with the ability to prepare a variety of nutritious meals
  • Previous household experience is essential, demonstrating attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Discretion, reliability, and a proactive approach
  • Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service

This position will mainly focus on the kitchen area, with occasional assistance to the other two housekeepers. No laundry is required. This is a fully staffed house.
