Deliver a range of important projects for our global security organization

Join us as a Project Manager and you’ll take responsibility for the delivery of a range of small to medium sized projects, making the best use of our resources, identifying milestones and dependencies, and establishing reliable and consistent supply chains. Managing the financial aspects of your projects, and quickly resolving any issues that arise, you’ll also represent our organisation at project governance meetings. Your day-to-day work will focus on the prioritisation of resources and the monitoring of project progress, in addition to complying with our standards, policies, processes and procedures, you’ll maintain a strong focus on customer requirements and the promotion of our values.

This is a role where you’ll be expected to develop specific quality assurance procedures for all major project deliverables, proactively promote lessons learnt and service improvement activities, and apply robust change management processes and procedures. Always ready to provide constructive feedback on process improvements, and develop a constructive communication strategy for each project, you should be committed to complying with relevant Health & Safety policies, and if necessary, be prepared to engage with specialist experts to ensure the development of innovative solutions.

Build your career as you help to defend the nation’s interests

To be a success in this vital role you should hold Prince 2 Practitioner, APMP and an ISEB Certificate in Project Management or their equivalent and have well developed experience of using the latest methodologies to design, develop and deliver projects. It’s essential that you possess sound knowledge of financial controls and management, a good understanding of all aspects of the project life cycle, and a track record of working successfully with Enterprise financial systems (Oracle). We’ll also expect you to have experience of the assessment, mitigation and management of project risks and issues, practical knowledge of relevant Health & Safety standards, and be a confident user of Microsoft’s suite of software, with a particular focus on MS Project or an equivalent project planning tool.

It’s important that you’ve worked on the operation, maintenance and deployment of either Perimeter and Protective Security or Estates and Construction, and demonstrable experience of delivering projects in overseas environments would be desirable. In addition, practical knowledge of Project Management products such as MSP, M_o_R® and M_o_V® would be a bonus, as would an understanding of the Building Safety Act and global logistics processes, risks and issues.
