Full job description

Isola Buona is looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking person to join our team at our deli café in Newhaven.

The main duties will be food preparation and making coffees and drinks, as well as serving customers and helping to keep the café running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing fresh sandwiches, salads and other deli food
  • Making coffees, teas and other hot and cold drinks
  • Serving customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Taking orders and handling payments
  • Keeping the café and food preparation areas clean and tidy
  • Restocking ingredients and supplies
  • Following food hygiene and safety standards
  • Helping with general café duties when required

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly and approachable
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Hardworking and organised
  • Comfortable working in a busy café environment
  • Passionate about good food and great customer service
  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a team

Previous experience in a café, deli or food preparation role would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right person.

The Hours

Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00am–3:00pm

£13.50 per hour

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for regular part-time daytime hours in a friendly deli café environment.
