56 Dean Street is an award winning HIV and sexual health service based in Soho with a particular emphasis on HIV prevention and the sexual health care needs of LGBTQI+ people. It is Europe’s busiest sexual health clinic with an attendance of approximately 110,000 patients per year. It cares for the third largest HIV cohort in the country with approximately 4,600 patients. The clinic also runs an Integrated Gender Dysphoria Service called TransPlus, we are particular interested in candidates who have an interest in Gender Dysphoria Care as part of these Job Plans includes time developing experience within TransPlus.

The HIV inpatient service merged with the Imperial College Hospitals Trust service in 2019 and now provides care on Ron Johnson ward at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital site for inner northwest London as well as Hertfordshire.

Th e y wi l l b e c o mm i tted to d e ve l o p i n g integ r ated HIV & s ex u al h e alth s e r vices , o p t i mize c o s t effic i ency o f the ser v i c e, i m p l e m e n t n e w t ech n o l o g i e s and develop new initiatives . The post holder will have an opportunity to work within our TransPlus service.

• Participate in the local HIV multidisciplinary meeting at 56 Dean Street.
• Contribute to implementation of clinical pathways
• Provide c o n sultant a d vi c e a n d sup p o rt to m u lti d iscip l inary te a m w o rki n g in HIV and G U M clinics. Revi e w c o m p lex cases re qu ir in g se n ior i npu t.
• Ma n a g e their own c a se l o ad o f H IV p atients.
• P rovide supervision and support for nursing colleagues and junior medical colleagues providing management of stable patient cohorts, ma n a g ement o f se r o c o n versio n , sta r ti ng /sw i tching t r eatment a n d ma n a g e m ent o f complex or unwell patients.
• W o rk with c o l l eagues to m o d ern is e t h e H IV ca r e p at h way to e n su r e effecti v e u se o f r es o u r ces.
• Develop a special interest clinic (e.g. Gender dysphoria, complex PrEP, anoscopy, chronic problem)
