Locum Specialty Doctor – NHS Trust

Job Title: Locum Specialty Doctor
Location: NHS Trust, UK
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Locum (Short-Term / Long-Term Opportunities Available)
Salary/Rate: Competitive Locum Rates (Dependent on Specialty and Experience)

About the Role

We are seeking experienced and motivated Locum Specialty Doctors to join various NHS Trusts across the UK. The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care, support multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the effective delivery of patient services within their specialty.

Essential Requirements

  • Full registration with GMC and a licence to practice.
  • Previous NHS experience is essential.
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications for the specialty applied for.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Up-to-date mandatory training and appraisal portfolio.
  • Ability to start at short notice is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients within the specialty.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinics, theatres, and on-call duties as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, junior doctors, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with GMC standards, Trust policies, and patient safety guidelines.
  • Contribute to teaching, training, and clinical governance activities where appropriate.
