Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Specialty Doctor to join our NHS Trust on an ASAP basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care within their specialty, support multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the effective delivery of services across the department.
Candidates must have previous NHS experience, appropriate GMC registration, and a valid right to work in the UK.
Essential Requirements
- Full GMC Registration with licence to practise
- Minimum 6 months NHS experience within the relevant specialty
- Valid Right to Work in the UK
- Up-to-date Mandatory Training
- Current Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and team-working skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and manage patients within the specialty department
- Conduct ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call duties as required
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Ensure compliance with NHS policies, governance and clinical standards
- Contribute to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Supervise and support junior medical staff where appropriate
- Maintain professional development and appraisal requirements
