Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Specialty Doctor to join our NHS Trust on an ASAP basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care within their specialty, support multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the effective delivery of services across the department.

Candidates must have previous NHS experience, appropriate GMC registration, and a valid right to work in the UK.

Essential Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration with licence to practise
  • Minimum 6 months NHS experience within the relevant specialty
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Up-to-date Mandatory Training
  • Current Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose and manage patients within the specialty department
  • Conduct ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call duties as required
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Ensure compliance with NHS policies, governance and clinical standards
  • Contribute to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff where appropriate
  • Maintain professional development and appraisal requirements
