Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP)
Location: London
Pay Rate: £57 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Type: Locum / Temporary (Full-Time, 3-Month Block Booking)

Sanctuary Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join a specialist drug and alcohol recovery service in London. This is a full-time block booking for an ASAP start, offering a great opportunity to work within a well-established community service.

This Substance Misuse Prescriber role offers a competitive £57 per hour pay rate and the chance to support individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency through structured, recovery-focused treatment programmes.

Contract Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 3 months
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 09:00 – 17:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and effective prescribing within a substance misuse service, including opioid substitution therapy (OST).
  • Carry out comprehensive clinical assessments for service users.
  • Develop and review tailored treatment and recovery plans.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including recovery workers, nurses, and GPs.
  • Monitor and review prescribing practices in line with clinical governance and safety standards.
  • Support detoxification, relapse prevention, and long-term recovery outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) with Independent Prescribing qualification.
  • Current registration with NMC or GPhC.
  • Previous experience within community substance misuse services is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of OST, detox protocols, and harm reduction strategies.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and prescribing skills.
