Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/ loft converter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and be proficient in using both power and hand tools. This role involves working on various projects, including residential builds, renovations, and repairs. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

• Assemble and install structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Install rsj steels
• Carry out roofing tasks, ensuring proper installation and finishing.
• Engage in masonry work when necessary, contributing to structural integrity.
• Use power tools and hand tools effectively while maintaining safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain an organised work area and adhere to project timelines.

Skills

• Proficient in the use of power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders.
• Strong capability with hand tools including chisels, hammers, and measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of loft conversion dormers
• Familiarity with roofing
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
