Job Overview

Loft and Garage conversion specialists based in Nottingham and surrounding areas. We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site. Full driving license and own vehicle is essential for this role.

Duties

  • Assist with the preparation and clean-up of construction sites.
  • Carry out manual labour tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople to complete tasks as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding, forms, and other structures.
  • Participate in the loading and unloading of materials from lorries.

Experience

  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is preferred.
  • A valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is beneficial but not mandatory at the time of application.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
  • A good level of physical fitness is required to perform manual tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time keeping is essential.
  • This role is on a self-employed/sub contractor basis, CIS registration is required.
  • Full driving licence is essential for this role.
