Experienced Loft Conversion Joiner / Carpenter – Leeds

Vision Loft Conversions is looking for an experienced Loft Conversion Joiner/Carpenter to strengthen our existing team and support our continued growth.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, works well as part of a team and has the experience and confidence to step up and help keep projects running smoothly when required.

What you’ll be doing

As part of our loft conversion team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• First and second fix carpentry and joinery
• Structural timber work and floor construction
• Roof alterations and dormer construction
• Stud walls, partitions and ceilings
• Staircase installation and alterations
• Doors, frames, skirting and architraves
• Reading and working from loft conversion drawings
• Working alongside and coordinating with other trades
• Monitoring materials and highlighting requirements in good time
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control
• Keeping sites clean, organised and safe
• Helping keep projects focused and on schedule
• Providing regular progress updates to the office

What we’re looking for

To be considered for the position, you should have:

• At least 5 years' loft conversion experience
• Ideally 7+ years' experience within loft conversions and carpentry
• Several completed loft conversion projects within the last three years
• Strong first and second fix carpentry skills
• Confidence working from architectural and structural drawings
• Good knowledge of the different stages involved in a loft conversion
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• The confidence to step up and help lead the team when required
• Good organisation and communication skills
• Additional building or trade skills would be an advantage
• Own tools and transport initially
• Company vehicle will be discussed after successful trial period
