Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Bricklaying Groundworks Labourer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, focusing on bricklaying and groundworks, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bricklaying Support:

• Assist bricklayers by preparing mortar, transporting bricks, and setting up scaffolding.

• Ensure materials are readily available to maintain workflow.

• Groundworks:

• Perform tasks such as marking out and digging trenches for foundations and drainage systems.

• Lay concrete for foundations, floors, and beams.

• Install formwork panels to hold concrete in place as it sets.

• Site Preparation and Maintenance:

• Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris and potential hazards.

• Set up and dismantle temporary structures, such as scaffolding and barricades.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Equipment Operation:

• Operate light machinery and tools, including drills, mixers, and compactors, following safety protocols.

• Assist in the maintenance and storage of equipment.

• Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site.

• Report any safety concerns or incidents to the site supervisor promptly.

Requirements:

• Experience:

• Previous experience in construction, specifically in bricklaying and groundworks, is preferred.

• Skills:

• Knowledge of building and construction practices.

• Ability to operate and maintain tools and machinery.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Physical Requirements:

• Good level of physical fitness and stamina.

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Certifications:

• A valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card is required.

• Relevant certifications in health and safety are advantageous.
