Job Overview
Online Drawing UK are fast becoming a leading supplier of online architectural designs, and we are seeking a skilled CAD technician with strong working knowledge of building regulations to UK standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who has at least 5 years of experience and a current knowledge of Building Regulations within the Residential Sector (extensions, renovations, loft conversions, new builds and barn conversion).

This is an office-based role, but occasional site visits may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Design or convert architectural planning and design drawings into compliant Building Regulation detail drawings.
  • Maintain and enhance drawing standards and company practices.
  • Produce detailed construction drawings with a strong understanding of building methods and best practices.
  • Produce compliant planning drawings
  • Utilise AutoCAD efficiently to create precise 2D working drawings.
  • Basic understanding of town planning policies

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Experience (Not Essential)

  • 3D Work
  • Compliance with commercial building regulations
