Experienced Front of House Team Member

The Table Cafe, our much-loved independent restaurant in Southwark, is looking for an experienced Front of House Team Member to join our team on a full-time basis.

We're seeking a confident, outgoing hospitality professional with a minimum of 3 years of Front of House experience preferred. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in a busy service, and is comfortable supporting the Restaurant Manager during peak periods by leading from the front.

Weekend availability is essential for this position, with flexibility to work weekdays if you would like more hours.

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 3 years' Front of House experience is preferred.
• A confident, friendly, and professional personality.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Someone who can support the manager and help lead the team during busy services.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
• A proactive attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures.
• Barista or bar experience is a big advantage.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, attentive, and memorable customer service.
• Take customer orders confidently, upsell menu items, and advise guests using thorough menu and allergen knowledge.
• Support the Restaurant Manager during busy services and help maintain smooth Front of House operations.
• Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
• Deliver food promptly, ensuring presentation and quality meet our standards.
• Monitor food preparation times and communicate effectively with the kitchen team.
• Process payments accurately and cash off tables correctly.
• Reset and clean tables to maintain a welcoming dining environment.
• Complete opening, closing, and daily side duties as required.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Encourage guest feedback and positive online reviews through exceptional service.
