About us

TERRA Restaurant and Tottington Manor are a Restaurant, Hotel & Events Venue just norht of Brighton in the South Downs, we are just 10 minutes from the Shoreham flyover at the A27, 10 minutes from the A23 junction at Pyecomber and 20 minutes from Horsham.

We are situated in a truly beautiful location and our guests join us because of our great team, hospitality, food and our location.

Our 50 Cover Terra Restaurant is complemented by 2 private dining rooms, an additional 50 cover outside decking area, 40 covers in our Courtyard and 95 cover events suite there is always something different happening every day at Tottington Manor.

Tottington Manor and TERRA Restaurant are looking for acasual Kitchen Porter to work 2 - 3 days per week 11am to 10pm as a key member of our Kitchen team. operating the Potwash area, cleaning food preparation equipment and supporting the Chefs with food preparation and organisation ready for busy servixe.

We pride ourselves on Great Hospitality and our guests reflect that in the tips they leave after having a great meal with us, this is shared between all the staff at the hotel.

We are an independent Restaurant & hotel and pride ourselves on providing great hospitality and food. As a result our team regularly receive between £2 and £3 per hour in additional tips and service charge on top of the advertised wage.

Position Summary:
The Kitchen Porter at Tottington Manor Hotel are responsible for for ensuring the smooth running of the Litchen and restaurant by ensuring all equipment is cleaned And stored quickly after use .

Location requirements:

We are in a truly beautiful location, but there is no suitable public transport so you either need your own car or motorbike or very helpful parents.

Requirements:

  • Working casual or Full time up to 33hrs per week, with a typical shift 11am - 22pm including weekends
  • 10 - 12 days off every 4 weeks.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • A strong work ethic
  • A self starter.

Responsibilities:

Operating the Potwash cleaning all front of house equipment

Cleaning all kitchen equipment

Supporting the hygiene routines in the kitchen

Preparing food for large events

  • Development:
  • Exceptional staff can move onto apprenticeshios in the kitchen environment
