After more than 30 years delivering safe, reliable solutions to the rail sector, we are excited to announce that we have been awarded the Vegetation Maintenance contract for the Transport for London (TfL) network—strengthening our commitment to maintaining a safe and accessible rail environment for millions of passengers.

We are looking for experienced Vegetation Operatives to join our team working on vegetation management projects, this is a hands-on role carrying out tree works in a rail environment.

As a Vegetation operative, you will:

  • Maintain trackside vegetation across the TfL network.
  • Carry out vegetation tasks such as strimming, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding, litter collection, tree work, stump grinding, wood chipping, and turfing.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with job sheets.
  • Take accountability for the quality and accuracy of site works.
  • Report issues or concerns to the Team Leader or Manager.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools, including chainsaws, hedge trimmers, and brushcutters.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks before driving.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
  • Work collaboratively to deliver tasks to schedule.
  • Load, handle, and dispose of vegetation waste in line with environmental regulations.
  • Report hazards, incidents, or near misses to supervisors.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Chainsaw, Brushcutter, Strimmer, Hedge Trimmer - LANTRA or NPTC
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Proven experience in vegetation clearance or landscaping work
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices
  • Reliable with good teamwork and communication skills
  • First Aid at work - Desirable
  • Manual Handling and Working at Height Salary and package negotiable
