Join Inspire North as a Service Manager – Young People’s Pathway (YPP)
Ready to lead services that change young lives?
Are you an experienced leader who believes every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, no matter the challenges they’ve faced?
Do you enjoy bringing people together, building high-performing teams and creating services that genuinely make a difference? Are you confident managing complex contracts, partnerships and resources while keeping young people at the heart of everything you do?
If so, we’d love to hear from you.
We're looking for a passionate and experienced Service Manager to lead our Young People’s Pathway (YPP) services across North Yorkshire, covering Scarborough, Richmond, Selby, Harrogate and Craven.
This is an exciting and influential role where you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of services supporting some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in our communities. You'll lead and support Team Leaders and frontline teams, build strong relationships with commissioners and partners, and ensure services continue to deliver outstanding outcomes for young people.
At Inspire North, we know that great services start with great leadership. That's why we're looking for someone who can inspire others, champion innovation and create an environment where both colleagues and clients can flourish.
What you'll be getting stuck into
You'll provide leadership and operational oversight across the Young People's Pathway service, ensuring services are safe, effective, compliant and focused on delivering excellent outcomes for young people.
You'll lead and develop Team Leaders and frontline teams, creating a positive and supportive culture where people feel empowered to perform at their best. Alongside this, you'll manage service contracts, budgets, property portfolios and key partnerships, ensuring services remain sustainable, high quality and responsive to local needs.
You'll represent Inspire North with commissioners, local authorities, housing providers and other stakeholders, helping to shape and strengthen services across North Yorkshire. You'll also oversee governance, safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory compliance, providing leadership on complex operational challenges and ensuring young people remain at the centre of service delivery.
What Makes You Our Kind of Person:
You don't need to tick every single box, but you'll thrive in this role if you:
- Have experience leading and managing teams to achieve high performance and deliver positive outcomes.
- Are a confident and inspiring leader who can motivate, coach and develop others.
- Have experience managing budgets, resources and service performance.
- Understand the challenges faced by vulnerable young people and have experience working within housing, homelessness, supported accommodation, mental health or related services.
- Have strong knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and managing risk within services supporting vulnerable people.
- Can build effective relationships with commissioners, partners and stakeholders at all levels.
- Are confident making decisions, solving problems and balancing competing priorities.
- Have excellent communication skills and can adapt your approach to different audiences.
- Are committed to co-production, inclusion, diversity and anti-racist practice.
- Are comfortable working with performance data, reporting requirements and contractual KPIs.
- Hold a valid UK driving licence (or one permitting driving in the UK) and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience of managing supported accommodation or hostel-based services.
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations relating to supported accommodation for young people.
- Experience of leading commissioner meetings and presenting service performance information.
- Lived, voluntary or professional experience within housing, homelessness or mental health services.
Why Join Us?

Here’s what you’ll enjoy as part of our team:

- Hybrid working – enjoy the best of both worlds!
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with service – because rest matters.
