The role

Turning Passion into Purpose


This is an exciting opportunity to join the Events Team and play a key role in the planning, promotion and delivery of a diverse programme of student recruitment and reputation-raising events. Working as part of a collaborative Marketing and Student Recruitment Directorate, the post-holder will support all aspects of event delivery, from logistics and customer experience to event communications, content development, reporting and insight gathering.

The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-profile events that engage prospective students, applicants, influencers, alumni and external stakeholders, while supporting campaign objectives relating to registrations, attendance and conversion. The annual events programme includes large-scale student recruitment events such as Open Days, as well as public lectures, graduation ceremonies at the Royal Festival Hall, and a range of other university events. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute ideas that enhance event experiences and help shape the future development of the University's events programme.

What you will bring

Essential Criteria:

    • Experience in events, or a related role withina university, higher Education or student-focused enivornment
    • Passion and Experience for delivering high-quality events and excellent customer experiences.
    • Strong written communication and content creation skills.
    • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Strong relationship-building skills, working effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital systems for administration and reporting
