Special Needs Teaching Assistant

SEND Primary School – Hayes
Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week | Term Time + 5 INSET Days

Make a Real Difference Every Day

We are seeking dedicated, compassionate and resilient Special Teaching Assistants to join our supportive and inspiring team. This full-time role involves working Monday to Friday, supporting children and young people aged 4–11 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs.

Pupils mostly present with autism, ADHD and complex needs, requiring patient, adaptable and engaging individuals who are passionate about inclusive education.

As an SENDTA, responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside teachers to support pupils’ learning across all key stages
  • Providing tailored support to meet communication, sensory and behavioural needs
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
  • Acting as a positive role model to encourage independence and confidence
  • Adapting support strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs
