Full job description

General Manager – Worcestershire – Luxury Hotel – 70k to 80k Plus Bonus

We are recruiting an exceptional General Manager for a stunning luxury hotel in Worcestershire, offering a fantastic opportunity to take full responsibility for an impressive and growing independent operation.

Please note: We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role and candidates must have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship. If you require Sponsorship please do not apply, thank you.

This is a beautiful property offering a truly impressive guest experience, with stylish bedrooms, a luxury spa, a destination restaurant and a more relaxed brasserie-style offering, alongside weddings, events and private dining.

The food offering is a real strength of the operation, with a choice of dining experiences ranging from an elevated award-winning fine dining restaurant through to a more relaxed brasserie-style setting. There is also a strong focus on private dining, events and special occasions, giving the F&B operation plenty of variety and scope.

The kitchen teams are passionate about quality ingredients and beautifully executed food, while the different outlets offer guests something for every occasion, from relaxed dining through to more refined experiences. It’s a significant part of the hotel's identity and an area where the incoming GM will have the opportunity to make a real impact.

The owners are now looking for a General Manager who can take the reins of the operation. They are deliberately looking to give the successful candidate genuine autonomy, with the owner remaining involved but stepping back from the day-to-day running of the hotel.

Benefits:

  • £70k to £80,000 salary depending on experience
  • 10% performance-related bonus
  • Potential for a profit-related bonus for the right candidate
  • Full autonomy to run the operation
  • Luxury hotel with multiple F&B outlets, spa and events
  • Strong existing management team
  • Significant ongoing investment and development
  • Excellent opportunity to make your mark on an independent business

You will have a strong team already in place across the operation, including experienced departmental managers and a talented kitchen brigade, giving you the support needed to focus on leading the business.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced General Manager or senior hotel operator with the confidence to take ownership of a luxury property.

You will be commercially astute, an excellent leader and comfortable working within an independent environment where you have the freedom to make decisions and implement your own ideas.

As General Manager you will:

  • Take overall responsibility for the hotel and its day-to-day operation
  • Lead and develop the management and wider team
  • Maintain exceptional standards across rooms, F&B, spa and guest experience
  • Take ownership of commercial performance and operational results
  • Work closely with the owners on the continued development of the property
  • Drive standards, culture and guest satisfaction across the business

This is a particularly exciting opportunity for someone who wants genuine responsibility.

With a luxury property, an excellent food reputation, a newly established spa and further investment and development to come, there is plenty of scope for the successful GM to make a significant impact.

If you're an ambitious hotelier looking for the opportunity to truly run a business and put your own stamp on it, this could be an exceptional next step.

Due to the number of applicants received, unfortunately we are unable to reply individually to each. Should your application be suitable for the role, then you'll hear from us within 48 hours, thank you.
