Our Lyndhurst site is nestled in the heart of the New Forest, housed in a charming, thatched cottage that’s been serving the local community for over 35 years.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
This is a part-time 12 month fixed term maternity cover position offering a work pattern designed to support a healthy work-life balance. The role is based primarily at our Lyndhurst practice, working Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00am to 7:00pm with participation in a 1 in 5 Saturday rota (8:30am–12:30pm). Occasional support at our Totton branch may also be required
General responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality nurse consultations and providing exceptional patient and client care
- Providing outstanding inpatient nursing care, ensuring patient comfort, welfare, and recovery
- Assisting with laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia monitoring, and surgical support
- Triage and assessment of emergency cases, including clinical nursing duties such as IV catheter placement
- Contributing to the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the practice while maintaining high clinical standards
