Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to help oversee the day-to-day activities on our commercial and high end residential projects in Essex. The successful candidate will coordinate site operations, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across all HVAC and plumbing installations.

Responsibilities

· Supervise and manage the daily site activities relating to HVAC and plumbing installations.

· Carry out daily walk-arounds to assess progress and address any issues.

· Organise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to site schedules.

· Carry out take-offs and order materials as required.

· Review and interpret technical drawings to plan upcoming works effectively.

· Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality compliance.

· Record and report progress using site audit software (e.g., Site Audit Pro or similar).

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising mechanical building services installations
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, pipework installations.
  • Experience managing mechanical site teams of Engineers & sub contractors
  • Previous experience working for a Mechanical Contractor or M&E Building Services contractor
  • Professional and confident communicator comfortable in client-facing environments
  • SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and Asbestos Awareness desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence
