Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time (Mon–Fri, 9am –5pm)
Salary: Competitive
Benefits: Excellent benefits package

Organisational Overview

We are the leading trade association for the UK’s offshore energy industry, giving a voice to over 450 organisations and businesses throughout the country.

OEUK is committed to fostering a thriving UK powered by homegrown, affordable energy — produced safely, responsibly, and sustainably. We engage, inform and champion the offshore energy sector and its workforce, collaborating with our members to meet the UK’s energy needs now and in the future.

Role Summary

We are seeking a talented Designer to join our Corporate Affairs team. This role is central to delivering high‑quality creative design that supports our communications, marketing, and brand objectives across digital, print, and internal platforms.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering creative assets that protect and promote OEUK’s reputation, support advocacy and marketing activity, and ensure consistent application of our visual identity across the organisation. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across Corporate Affairs and the wider business, translating complex and technical content into clear, engaging, and accessible visual communications.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver high quality layouts and artwork for reports, magazines, marketing materials, publications, and digital outputs, ensuring all materials meet OEUK’s quality and brand standards
  • Create engaging visual assets for social media, press releases, websites, campaigns, and internal communications, ensuring content is accessible, on‑brand, and fit for purpose
  • Apply OEUK’s visual identity consistently across all platforms, supporting the ongoing development and evolution of the organisation’s brand
  • Refine PowerPoint presentations and create reusable slide templates, providing advice and guidance to colleagues on effective visual presentation
  • Work with text heavy, data driven, and technical content, translating complex information, statistics, and policy material into clear and compelling visual formats
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising workload effectively and delivering to non‑flexible deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Corporate Affairs and the wider organisation to understand design requirements and deliver appropriate creative solutions
  • Liaise with external agencies, freelancers, and suppliers as required, contributing to briefings and supporting the delivery of high quality outputs

Person specification

The successful candidate will bring strong creative and technical design capability, supported by a portfolio demonstrating high quality work across both digital and print environments.

Essential criteria:

  • Recognised design qualification or equivalent professional experience gained in an in‑house or agency environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with strong skills in layout, image editing, and digital production
  • Proven experience producing editorial layouts for reports, magazines, or similar text‑heavy publications
  • Experience delivering both digital and print outputs, with a sound understanding of print production processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong proofreading skills and a commitment to producing accurate, polished work
  • Confidence working with complex, technical, or data led content and translating this into clear visual communications
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to fixed deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain design concepts clearly and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • A flexible, proactive team player who demonstrates professionalism and aligns with OEUK’s values

Experience using Canva, basic video editing tools, or producing digital media assets (such as infographics or simple video content) is desirable.

This is a full-time role working 9am –5pm, Monday to Friday in an office environment.
