We are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our mobile team based in and around central Scotland.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will carry out scheduled planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to maintain plant condition and performance to support the delivery of the weekly production schedules. Monitor and maintain condition and performance of all our processing plants and associated equipment and identify any circumstances that could result in an impact on availability or performance while supporting the Engineering Manger to meet defined shift KPI targets.

Carry out all mechanical activities as specified by Engineering Support Team on Planned Preventive Maintenance Schedules to ensure expected plant reliability and minimise production disruption and downtime.

The Ideal Candidate

This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires:

  • Good knowledge and experience with high-speed rotating equipment
  • The ability to Service, repair and diagnose complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems on various Earthmoving Equipment.
  • Use of PC’s and capability to use common applications and company systems
  • Fault finding ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate action
  • Good practical knowledge and experience of maintenance systems required.
  • Ability to assess SHE risks arising from work activities and control risks accordingly
  • Knowledge of site-specific SHE procedures and Safe Working Practices
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and or multiskilled, mechanically biased
  • The ability to strip and rebuild complex pumps and gearboxes.
  • The ability read and interpret schematic and technical drawings.
  • Basic report writing
  • Have good welding and fabrication skills.
  • Working to a Rotation Shift Rota.
