Full job description

About The Role

This is a unique and varied opportunity for a creative, organised, and proactive Designer / Creative Artworker to play a key role in developing commercially successful greeting card ranges and selected 3D product collections.

Working across multiple areas of the studio, you'll take briefs from managers and collaborate with a variety of creative teams to bring concepts to life. Some projects will involve creating designs from scratch, while others will focus on developing and artworking existing assets into cohesive collections across multiple formats. Using both established and self-created style guides, you'll translate ideas into compelling ranges that are visually engaging, commercially relevant, and production-ready.

You'll have a strong eye for design, layout, typography, colour, and finishing techniques, with excellent attention to detail and consistency. From refining creative concepts to preparing artwork for production, you'll help ensure our products are delivered to the highest standard.

Working closely with the Creative Resource Manager, you'll also support the coordination and briefing of freelance creatives when required, helping projects run smoothly and efficiently across the studio.

Alongside your creative responsibilities, you'll contribute to the studio's social media presence by creating engaging content that showcases our work, people, and creative culture. You'll bring an awareness of current trends, platforms, and content creation techniques, with an eye for capturing and sharing great creative stories.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, brings energy and enthusiasm to their work, and is confident using their own initiative. You'll enjoy balancing creative design work with supporting the wider team, taking ownership of projects, contributing fresh ideas, and helping shape the future of our products and creative output.

You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive team where creativity thrives, ideas are valued, and collaboration is at the heart of everything we do.

Please note, this is a hybrid role with 2 days per week based in our Studio in Wakefield

About you

  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • A genuine eye for social content, an understanding of what makes posts engaging and the confidence to contribute ideas for studio social activity.
  • Greeting card experience would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of print limitations, finishes, product or packaging templates and working to tight deadlines would be beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to support workload coordination, studio priorities and freelance creative support when required.
