Reporting Accountant
Status: Temp/Contract
Location: Aberdeen
Rate: Available Upon Request
E&P contract opportunity to start as soon as possible for at least 12 months. You will hold a key role in supporting financial and management reporting, providing insight and analysis to aid decision-making. We are particularly interested in candidates who have Mandarin language skills to support our international operations, and are open to considering individuals across a range of experience levels.
Overview job description
- The role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders across the organisation
- This is a broad reporting role providing exposure to both financial and management reporting within a dynamic and international working environment
- Mandarin language skills would be advantageous for liaising with international teams
Main duties and responsibilities
- Preparing accurate and timely financial and management reporting, including monthly reports, analysis, and supporting schedules
- Supporting the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring completeness and adherence to deadlines
- Performing variance analysis and providing clear commentary on business performance
- Preparing and contributing to reports and presentations for senior management
- Performing balance sheet analysis and investigating variances to ensure data integrity
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and outlook processes
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders across finance, operations, and international teams
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, and efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements
- Providing support to the wider team, including cover, ad-hoc analysis, and project work as required
