Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Business Partner to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the organisation's financial health. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong financial management skills and experience with various accounting software to contribute to the company's growth and success. The role involves close collaboration with different departments, analysing financial data, and delivering actionable recommendations to optimise performance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with departmental managers to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Analyse financial data using accounting software Sage50 and other relevant tools to identify trends and variances.
  • Provide insights on financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement and potential risks.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management to support strategic planning and operational decisions.
  • Prepare costings, bill of materials (BOMs) and bill of routing (BORs)
  • Analyse monthly sales and margin trends and variances at a customer and product level
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Produce and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reporting regarding commercial performance
  • Providing technical expertise in system administration, including data migration, reporting structures, and system controls as well as internal trainings
  • Master data maintenance
  • Complete stock valuation for month end and year end
  • Design and maintain stock movement reports
  • Design and maintain Power BI reporting across the business
  • Design and prepare commercial report for external shareholders
  • Support accountant and financial accountant in month end processes
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis on request
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist in implementing financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial information.
  • Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance across all functions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or similar role within a dynamic organisation.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software Sage50.
  • Solid understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Experience managing accounts payable and other core accounting functions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data into clear insights.
  • Organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with non-financial stakeholders.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to leverage their financial expertise within a collaborative environment dedicated to organisational growth.

  • Core Hours: 8:30 – 5:00 Monday to Friday

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
