Purpose of the role

The Heidelberg Materials (HM) International Business Service Centre (BSC) provides administrative, transactional, and accounting services to in-scope HM companies.

The Transformation Managers will work to reengineer end to end processes and systems, to support delivery of the Heidelberg Materials synergies and automation roadmap.

We are looking for a Process Transformation Manager to play a key role in driving continuous improvement and supporting business transformation initiatives. As a Manager within the transformation team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of strategic initiatives, applying a customer and employee journey mindset to improve how processes operate across the business.

You will support the identification and assessment of technology and AI opportunities, enable stakeholders across functions, and help ensure outcomes are measured and delivered effectively.

Key accountabilities

Transformation Expertise

  • Develops a good understanding of in-scope processes and systems, including how they operate today and how they can be improved to better support business needs.

  • Applies end-to-end, journey-based thinking to help teams understand how activities connect and where improvements can be made.

  • Uses awareness of in-country working practices to identify opportunities to reduce complexity and remove unnecessary hand-offs across processes.

  • Understands how people, process, data, and technology interact, helping ensure proposed changes are workable, sustainable, and scalable.

End-to-End Process Redesign & Transformation Delivery

  • Contributes to the design and delivery of transformation initiatives, working with the Head of Transformation, Senior Transformation Manager, Global Process Owners, and business teams.

  • Uses agreed transformation and service-design approaches to support process redesign and move beyond small, isolated improvements.

  • Collaborates with Global Process and Digital teams to identify and assess opportunities for AI-enabled and emerging technologies, supporting the development of clear, value-focused plans.

  • Helps challenge existing ways of working constructively, supporting teams to move towards simpler and more effective processes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement

  • Works as a transformation partner across the BSC, Digital, and wider Group, supporting collaboration and shared ownership of change.

  • Engages with a range of stakeholders, including project and product teams, to support alignment with agreed future-state designs.

  • Supports teams through change using facilitation, coaching techniques, and structured problem-solving, helping maintain momentum.

  • Assists in tracking progress and outcomes for transformation initiatives, adapting to changing priorities where required.

Coaching, Capability & Ways of Working

  • Supports and promotes transformation ways of working, encouraging curiosity, learning, and evidence-based decision-making.

  • Helps colleagues adopt new tools, approaches, and ways of thinking, particularly in relation to digital and AI-enabled change.

  • Works effectively within an agile, fast-changing environment, adjusting focus and approach to meet evolving demands and priorities.

Financial & Non-Financial accountabilities (capture size of role e.g. budget responsibility)

  • Responsible for reengineering of process across multiple countries and systems.
