Full job description

Scotia Security Group designs, manufactures and installs physical and electronic security products for the Banking and ATM industries. With over 50 years’ experience in the banking industry we are a highly respected business with innovative high quality products.

In addition to our factory and HQ in Loanhead we operate from UK wide network of installation-service bases.

We are looking to recruit a Production Manager/Purchasing Manager to join our team in Loanhead, as the PM you will utilise your broad manufacturing/engineering expertise to plan and manage the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished goods. We undertake a wide range of engineering process including laser cutting, folding; welding; assembly and dispatch; as well as managing our sub-contractors and suppliers.

Role

You will be directly responsible for planning and scheduling of customer and manufacturing requirements to meet project delivery dates and programmes.

You will work with:

Design, operations and engineering teams to ensure the creation of efficient programmes of work.

Responsibilities:

· Plan efficient methods of work flow through manufacturing processes from start to completion.

· Ensure parts and components are available to allow smooth and consistent assembly to completion.

· Maintain forecasts and work to schedules.

· Manage sub-contractors and suppliers.

· Health & Safety.

· IMS (Quality Management).

· Purchasing.

· Facilities Management.

Requirements:

Candidates should have relevant supervisory experience in one of the following areas

· Sheet metal manufacture

· Engineering or CNC machining

· Electro mechanical Assembly

Plus have planning and scheduling experience and skills. They should ideally have a relevant qualification in management or engineering.

Experience in the following will be advantageous:

· Purchasing

· Stores

· Excel

· Health & Safety

Overall we are seeking an individual who has

  • First-rate organisational abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player and builder who can motivate and develop their staff
  • You will be diligent and pro-active
  • You will be analytical with an ability to understand and interpret technological concepts.

You should be prepared to occasionally work outside normal hours at short notice, therefore flexibility is important.
