Full job description

SnapeHill Dental Studio & Implant Centre is a well-established, predominantly private dental practice based in Dronfield, and part of the growing AUM Dental Group.

We provide a wide range of private dental treatments, alongside a small NHS children’s contract based on UOAs & UDAs. We are now looking for an experienced, motivated and proactive Practice Manager to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day running of the practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care, supporting team development, maintaining compliance, and helping to drive practice growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors, clinicians and wider support team to ensure the practice operates efficiently, remains compliant, and continues to provide an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the practice
  • Lead, motivate and support the practice team
  • Manage staff rotas, holidays, recruitment and training
  • Ensure excellent customer service and high standards of patient care
  • Support growth of private treatments and patient journey improvements
  • Monitor practice performance, diary utilisation and key KPIs
  • Manage appointment books, recalls and patient follow-up systems
  • Produce and review practice reports using Software of Excellence / SFD
  • Ensure compliance with CQC, GDPR and internal practice policies
  • Manage stock control, suppliers and general practice administration
  • Handle patient queries and complaints professionally and effectively
  • Support the small NHS children’s contract and UOA performance
  • Maintain a positive, productive and professional working environment

About You

Essential:

  • Previous dental practice management experience
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Good understanding of CQC compliance and governance
  • Confident working in a fast-paced dental environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proactive, professional and able to work well as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Experience within a predominantly private dental practice
  • Experience using Software of Excellence / SFD
  • Knowledge of NHS children’s contracts, UOAs and reporting
  • Experience with recruitment, HR and team development
  • Commercial awareness and ability to support practice growth
