About the Client Our client is a Fortune Global 500 leader in telecommunications. With its European Headquarters strategically located in London, the company drives large-scale connectivity solutions across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Due to rapid business expansion, they are seeking a high-caliber, bilingual Legal Manager to join their core legal team in London.

The Role This is an exceptional opportunity for a junior legal professional to gain hands-on experience within a global corporate environment. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will play a key role in managing commercial contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating cross-border legal communication between the UK operations and the global headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), NDAs, and vendor contracts in both English and Mandarin.
  • Corporate Governance: Assist in managing corporate secretarial duties for UK entities and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and Group policies.
  • Regulatory & Compliance: Provide legal advice on UK telecommunications regulations (Ofcom), GDPR/Data Protection, and other relevant corporate laws.
  • Cross-border Liaison: Act as a vital legal bridge between the London office and the Legal Department at the Global Headquarters to ensure alignment on international legal strategies.
  • Dispute Management: Support the business in handling potential commercial disputes and liaise with external counsel for legal assessments.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1–3 years of legal experience (In-house or Private Practice). Experience in commercial law or the technology/telecom sector is preferred.
  • Qualifications: Must hold a recognised UK legal qualification.
  • Languages: Native-level fluency in Mandarin and professional proficiency in English (both written and verbal) are mandatory.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
