Quality Inspector

Evridge Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Quality Inspector to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role in maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Working within a precision engineering environment, you will be responsible for inspecting components throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. You will work closely with Production and Management teams to drive quality improvements and support our commitment to delivering exceptional products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect components at first-off, in-process, and final inspection stages to ensure conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Use a range of manual inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Complete and maintain accurate inspection reports and quality records.
  • Create, compile, and review inspection documentation including:
  • First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
  • Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIRs)
  • Dimensional inspection reports
  • Material and process certification records
  • Identify non-conformances and work with Production teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and improving manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with internal and customer audits, ensuring documentation and traceability requirements are maintained.
  • Support the maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment where required.

What We're Looking For Essential

  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and inspection techniques.
  • Experience using manual inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges and gauges.
  • Familiarity with inspection documentation and quality records, including FAIRs, ISIRs, and dimensional reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound quality decisions.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with machinists, engineers and management.

Desirable

  • Experience programming and operating Inspect3D-PRO QCT CMM equipment.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience within aerospace, motorsport, defence or other high-precision industries.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems.

Don't have Inspect3D-PRO QCT experience? Training can be provided for the right candidate with a strong inspection background.
