Job Summary:
The Marine Administrator provides essential support to the Marine Delivery Team, ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of day-to-day marine operations through reliable and proactive administrative assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Marine Delivery Team, including Marine Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors
- Assist with the coordination of marine operations
- Prepare, process, and track purchase orders and delivery documentation related to marine works
- Maintain accurate records of marine activities, including permits, licences, and compliance documentation
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, port authorities, and internal departments to resolve queries
- Assist with reporting on marine progress, costs, and resource allocation
- Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and track actions for the marine team
- Support health, safety, and environmental documentation specific to marine works
Technical Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, email) with strong administrative capability
- Ability to work collaboratively with site-based and offshore teams
Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or marine environments
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Experience supporting project delivery teams is advantageous
