Role Overview

Are you a fluent Mandarin speaker with a passion for sales, marketing and social media? CODE Students is looking for a Mandarin Sales and Marketing Executive to lead the way we connect with our Chinese student community — from live-streamed tours to WeChat and Red content that brings our sites to life for students thousands of miles away.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine language skills, creativity and sales know-how in a role that genuinely shapes how international students discover and choose their home away from home. Day-to-day duties involve live-streaming tours, creating content, and communicating directly with Chinese students, agencies and social media audiences in Mandarin.

About the Role

You'll be the vital link between our UK sites and our Chinese student market, covering a mix of sales and marketing activities including:

Sales

• Presenting live-stream tours of our facilities to prospective tenants based in China (up to 5 days a week, across our sites)
• Responding to and following up on customer enquiries via our WeChat service and Mini Programme
• Creating China-specific sales tools, including sales packs, and running product training for our Chinese agencies
• Advising sales executives on improving communication with Chinese students
• Collating weekly performance stats and sharing insights with Directors and the Head of Sales and Marketing
• Providing translation support in person, online and across marketing material

Marketing

• Managing and creating content for our WeChat and Red accounts, working alongside our Marketing Executives who produce English-language content
• Updating and developing our Chinese-focused marketing profiles, including our WeChat Mini Programme and agency profiles
• Working with external supplier Viva City to keep our Mini Programme current and aligned with key sales moments
• Presenting and hosting Live Tours for Chinese agencies, on camera
• Supporting Open Days, brand awareness activity, and social events such as our Welcome Party and Lunar New Year celebrations (some evenings may apply)
• Proposing website and process improvements based on data and analysis, with a focus on the international/Chinese market

You'll be working between our Coventry and Leicester sites, travelling frequently between the two depending on where the sales focus is, and occasional out-of-hours work is required — around 6 Saturdays a year — to support University Open Days.

What You'll Need

• Native or fluent Mandarin speaker (spoken and written) — essential for this role, as it involves communicating directly with our Chinese student and agency community
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• Happy to travel frequently between our Leicester and Coventry sites, as the role is based across both

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with occasional weekend working for events such as Open Days.
