Junior Marketing Assistant (Sales Team)

Location: Watford
Job Type: Full-Time | Immediate Start Available

Looking to build a career in marketing while developing valuable sales and customer engagement skills?

If you're looking for an opportunity where you can learn by doing, enjoy working with people, and develop skills that are valued across marketing, sales, and business, this could be the perfect place to start.

Moon Moments is a recruitment and talent acquisition partner working with growing businesses across the UK. We specialise in connecting ambitious individuals with opportunities that offer structured training, ongoing development, and genuine career progression.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Watford-based client that is expanding its Sales Team. As a Junior Marketing Assistant, you'll support customer acquisition campaigns through face-to-face community outreach, helping to increase brand awareness, engage with customers, and generate new business opportunities.

This is a field-based, customer-facing position where you'll work directly with members of the public rather than in a desk-based marketing environment. You'll gain practical experience in promotional marketing, customer engagement, sales, communication, and campaign delivery while receiving ongoing coaching from experienced professionals.

No previous experience is required. Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for graduates, career changers, or anyone looking to build a long-term career.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Sales Team, you'll help deliver promotional marketing campaigns through community outreach activities across Watford and surrounding areas.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Representing marketing campaigns professionally within local communities
  • Speaking with customers face-to-face to introduce products, services, and promotional campaigns
  • Creating engaging and positive customer experiences
  • Building rapport and identifying customer needs through conversation
  • Explaining products, services, and current offers clearly and confidently
  • Assisting customers with registrations, applications, and sign-up processes where appropriate
  • Supporting customer acquisition and brand awareness initiatives
  • Working towards individual and team performance objectives
  • Attending regular product training, coaching sessions, and development workshops
  • Contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment

What We're Looking For

We're looking for motivated individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Successful applicants will typically demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence speaking with a wide range of people
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude
  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic
  • A willingness to learn new skills and accept coaching
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • A customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building skills

Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, events, promotions, sales, or marketing is beneficial but not essential, as full training is provided.

What You'll Receive

  • Earnings include a combination of base pay (£1,935 PCM) with uncapped OTE commission (subject to successful completion of a four-week probationary period)
  • Weekly pay
  • Full product, sales, and campaign training
  • Ongoing coaching and mentoring
  • Leadership and professional development opportunities
  • Performance-based progression opportunities
  • Supportive, collaborative, and energetic team environment
